THAT AFRICAN

Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, That African is now a fixture in the Vancouver underground. Coming from a hip hop and trip hop back ground, he has been involved in music since the 90s. Currently, That African performs solo, as part of hip hop heavy hitters Eh Yo, and as part of the ingeniously funky 7 piece hip hop act the Indigo Kids.

Expect to hear a repertoire spanning multiple genres (think funk, swing, downtempo, hip hop, trip hop, sexy lounge, and all manner of bass music) sprinkled with a healthy dose of turntablism.

KID CLOUDKICKER

Kickin it in the clouds, with a puff cloud here and a bass womp there. The Kid plays bass heavy music designed to be felt, not just heard.

Harnessing the power of Ableton, Reaktor and growing collection of premium drum sets, Kid brings live unique content into any performance.

OKA

A celebration of all that it is to be alive and free in the world today, OKA draws upon their indigenous connection to place and country through music. Their signature sound is an irresistible blend of influences spanning house, big beat, reggae-dub, Roots, Jazz and world music. A rhythm based sonic tapestry crossing cultural boundaries, embracing the future without losing sight of the past.

DROP CARTEL

Drop Cartel aka Carter Wilton is a producer and DJ/Promoter from Calgary, Canada. Blending the gritty styles of Drum and Bass with the bounciness of Glitch Hop and Dubstep. He Started out in production making hip hop beats on fruity loops at the age of 15, a few years later stumbled upon the EDM scene and never looked back. He began to find his mixing style in bedroom / house party DJing and started throwing small party’s, eventually getting brought on by PK sound and trained as an audio tech.

BURLAP SAC

A musical experience that draws no lines and leaves no stone left unturned. Burlap Sac is a four piece band hailing from Calgary, Alberta. They offer a smorgasbord of tastes, personalities, and perspectives that all shine like the sun through a sieve. These guys incorporate diverse influences including everything from funk to folk while venturing into the worlds of hip-hop and blues. The band released their debut album “Perfectly Normal?” in Winter 2014 and they look forward to spreading their sound on their upcoming Western Canadian tours.

DUBCONSCIOUS

Dubconscious has come to represent both the east and the western coast of Canada. Born in Toronto & raised on the jungle & drum’n’bass sounds permeating the city in the late 90s & early 2000s, he developed a taste for hard beats drenched in reggae vibes. 2004 brought a big move across the country to the city of Victoria, which was nurturing a fledgling breaks & jungle scene – by the end of his first year of University, he had bought his first set of Technics and the seed was planted.

LICKWEED

Dj Lickweed is a DnB/Breaks/Glitch-Hop/Hip-Hop DJ originally from Israel and now based out of Melbourne, Australia.

First started DJing in 2003 and was mainly involved in the Hip-Hop / Turntabilisim scene back in Israel.
In 2004 he was first exposed to the underground DnB scene and fell in love with the sound, vibe and the world that is Drum n Bass.

Lickweed moved to Melbourne in 2007 and since than has been playing around town in many venues and is now a resident DJ at Brown Alley, Miss Libertine and Loop Bar.

GAUDI

Gaudi's innovative approach to live performance and versatility as a producer has kept him at the forefront of his field throughout a notable and prolific career. His music is stylistically hard to pin down as he is an artist in constant evolution. His musical exploration, over the last 30 years in the industry, has however seen him foray into punk, new wave, dub and reggae, world, experimental electronica and 'stuff that rocks dancefloors'..

Saratonin

Calgary born Saratonin became familiar with the live stage at a very early age. Daughter of accomplished blues/country singer Big Cat Daddy, Saratonin has been singing and writing songs as long as she can remember. She became a part of the electronic music scene at the age of 15 and within a year began accompanying drum&Bass/jungle Dj’s with her moody and angelic voice. Wanting to take her music a step further, the songstress began collaborating with talented Hip Hop MC’s and producers throughout Canada.
