RUSTY MEEKS VS KUANA

Rusty Meeks:

Atomic Zoo / Substation Recordings / Alkatraz / Straight Up! / Basshound

Rusty Meeks has never lived inside the confines of a single genre of electronic music. His versatility as a DJ has lead him to several residencies at Calgary nightclubs, numerous music festival appearances, and even international tours. Globally, Rusty Meeks has graced the decks at nightclubs and beach raves in Malaysia, Ecuador, and the US. Rusty Meeks' true talent lies in his production skills, with top 100 hits on Beatport's Drum and Bass, Dubstep, and Glitch Hop charts over the past year alone. His tracks have been played on BBC radio 1, and at music festivals such as Shambhala and Burning Man. In 2011 Rusty teamed up with close friends Dylan Kennedy and Kuana to launch a successful digital record label focused on bass music, "Substation Recordings".

Kuana:

Kuana has developed a signature sound of bass music that has shot him to the forefront of Canada's bass music industry. Carefully crafting his art over several years of producing everything from bumpy tech, to pulsing electro, to dirty dub, and currently finding a home in, and receiving tremendous support from the glitch hop community. Kuana has released a flurry of tunes over the past couple years on some of the hottest rising labels in the industry like Sub Philo Music, Atomic Zoo, Bass Hound, and his own project Substation Recordings.
